Location
Atlas House occupies a prominent corner position at the junction of King Street and Cheapside, the City's premier address.
Description
The property benefits from natural daylight and outlook from all elevations with the exception of the northern boundary. The floorplates are consistent in size from ground floor to 5th floor and are a regular rectangular shape, narrowing towards the southern elevation on Cheapside. The ground floor benefits from a generous floor to slab height of 4.6 metres as a result of its original banking hall use. The main access into the building is currently from King Street. The existing reception retains several historic features including a carved sculpture of Atlas and grand 1920's finishes including marble features, spiral staircase and stainless-steel doors. The elevations of the original building and the later extensions all share the same materiality, with the ground floor in rusticated Cornish grey granite and Portland stone. The basement, ground and first floor, previously let to Barclays, is currently in a stripped out condition. The remaining occupied floors last underwent a comprehensive refurbishment in 2012 and are in good condition.
